About Us
In 1979, Susan and Roger Horn and began work on severity of illness measurement. Their work led to the development of the Comprehensive Severity Index (CSI®). In 1995, International Severity Information Systems was incorporated to utilize the CSI for other studies.
Soon after, the Institute for Clinical Outcomes Research was formed to manage the various studies. Click on “Current Studies” to see the projects we are working on.
